Frequently Asked Questions for D10s Plus & D10s Pro

Q1. What if the robot fails to collect dust?

We suggest that you follow the following steps to take a look.
1. It is necessary to cover the dust cover of the dust collection bin and pack the dust bag properly when the base station is powered on and performing dust collection work.
2. Please check if the dust bag is full. If it is full, replace it and perform the dust collection again.
3. Check if the dust collection ports of the robot, base station and the dust box are blocked. Please clean them before dust collection.
4. Please check if the dust collection button on the app is turned off. Please try again after turning it on. If the robot is in 'Do Not Disturb' Mode, it will not execute the dust collection command. It is necessary to turn off or change the Do Not Disturb time period.
5. Check if the window at the charging electrode is dirty and may not be able to transmit signals. Please clean it with a dry tissue before attempting again.
6. If there is a large amount of dust and dirt in the home, it is recommended to set up high-frequency dust collection.

Q2: The robot is offline after connecting to the network.

1. Check your network connection.
2. While cleaning, the robot will be offline when it is in poor Wi-Fi coverage.
3. The robot will be offline when it is not onto the base and runs out of its battery.

Q3: Do I need to put away carpets when mopping?

1. No-Go Zones: Before mopping, you can set the area where the carpet is located as the no-go zone in the Map Management section, and the robot will avoid the carpet while cleaning.
2. Organizing Your Home: If the carpet is placed at the door of the room and you want your robot to clean this room, you need to put away the carpet in advance.

Q4: The cleaning paths are disordered.

First-time Mapping
While mapping, the paths will be so disordered that your robot can learn the environment as much as possible. Once the map is saved, the cleaning paths will be clearer.
After Maps Saved
If the cleaning paths of your robot are in a jumble, please check the following:
1. Before Cleaning: Tidy up the scattered items on the floor such as power strips, toys, slippers, etc., to avoid frequent collisions and chaotic cleaning paths.
2. While Cleaning: If the wheels are covered with dirt or oil, or get trapped by foreign objects, clean the wheels to ensure the robot moves normally.
3. While Cleaning: If the robot collides with objects many times while cleaning, it will clean along edges and walls briefly and then resume an S-shaped cleaning pattern.
4. Recurrence: If the cleaning paths are disordered, update the firmware to the latest version, reset maps, and map your house again.
5. For the robot with a ToF sensor, you can wipe the ToF sensor.

Q5: The robot does not continue cleaning after recharging.

1. Your robot may be in the DND (Do Not Disturb) mode, in which it will not resume cleaning.
2. If you return your robot to the dock or recharge your robot manually, it will not resume cleaning.

Q6: The robot makes a strange noise while cleaning.

1. This is probably because the brush is entangled. Remove the brush, clear the foreign objects, and reinstall the brush.
2. Restart your robot after installing the brush to check whether the noise disappears.
3. If the strange noise remains, check the brush again or contact customer service.

Q7: The robot cleans an area repeatedly.

1. If the cleaning time is less than 10 minutes, the robot will perform the cleaning task again. (except for selected-room cleaning)
2. If some zones are overlapping on the map, the robot may fail to self-position and miss some areas while cleaning. If so, re-map the areas to be cleaned or restore the map.

Q8: The robot fails to rechage.

1. There may be too many obstacles around the dock/base. Clear the obstacles or place the dock/base in an open area.
2. Your robot may be too far away from the dock. Place your robot near the dock.
3. While cleaning, ensure your robot sets out from the base/dock to make the location of the base/dock accurate in the map.
4. Make sure the base or the base station is powered on.
5. Check whether the in-app maps are askew or overlapping. If so, recreate maps.
Q9: The robot does not clean automatically at the scheduled time.

Your robot may have a low battery. The scheduled cleaning will not start unless the battery level is over 15%.
Q10: The robot cannot charge.

1. The dock/base is NOT powered on. Make sure both ends of the power cord of your dock/base are plugged in.
2. The charging contacts on the dock/base are in poor contact with those on your robot. Power off and clean the charging contacts, or adjust their positions.

Q11: Is the filter washable?

1. The filter can be washed with water manually and needs to be thoroughly dry before re-installing.
2. It is recommended to dry the filter for at least 24 hours after washing it.

Q12: The robot cannot update the firmware.

Causes of Firmware Update Failure:
1. Low battery. The firmware cannot be updated if the battery level is lower than 15%.
2. Weak Wi-Fi signal or out of the Wi-Fi range. If your robot is located in a weak Wi-Fi signal area or out of the Wi-Fi range, it may cause an update failure. Make sure both your robot and the dock/base are in a good Wi-Fi range.

Q13: A collision occurs after AI function is ON.

1. Function Introduction: AI recognition function can keep your house tidy and clean, and prevent your robot from being entangled or trapped. For more cleaning areas, your robot will be as close to the obstacle as possible while avoiding the obstacle, so a gentle collision of your robot with the obstacle is normal.
2. Complex Environment: If the home environment is complex, or the shape of the obstacle is special, the AI recognition will take more time, causing a collision.
3. Low Light: Low light conditions may cause an unsatisfying AI recognition performance. It is recommended to use this function in a well-lit environment.

Q14: The robot with AI function cannot recognize objects.

1. Turn On: Make sure the AI Recognition function is ON.
2. Recognizable Objects: Only shoes (slippers), socks, rags, wires, bathroom scales, bases can be recognized in the current version.
3. Normal Part: Your robot will slow down and collide with the obstacle, or avoid the obstacle due to the obstacle avoidance algorithm. A gentle collision of your robot with the obstacle is normal.
4. Low Light: Low light conditions may cause an unsatisfying AI recognition performance. It is recommended to use this function in a well-lit environment.
5. Complex Environment: If the home environment is complex, or the shape of the obstacle is special, the AI recognition process will take more time, causing a collision.
6. Dirty Lens:  Dirty lens may have an impact on object recognition. Please wipe the camera lens with a clean cloth and keep them clean.
7. Firmware OTA:  OTA (Over The Air) technology will help you update the firmware to the latest version. Please check regularly in case of not missing any performance improvements.

Q15: How to set a customized cleaning?

1. Open the homepage of the plug-in, enter the Customized Cleaning section via Cleaning Settings > Customized Cleaning > Settings.
2. Manual Setup: In the Customized Setting section, you can select different areas to have personalized settings including the suction, humidity of mop pad, cleaning times, etc.
3. Intelligent Recommendation: Tap the "Intelligent Recommendation" button in the Customized Setting section, the personalized cleaning patterns will be generated according to room types.
4. Save Settings: Tap "√" in the top right-hand corner to save your settings.
