Dreame L50 Plus – Abnormal Docking During Multi-Floor Cleaning

Hi Dreame Support,

I have a Dreame L50 Plus and a three-floor house. The docking station is permanently located on the first floor.

I have enabled Multi-Floor Maps and saved four maps: Ground Floor, First Floor, Second Floor, and Kitchen Area (Ground Floor).

I initially created the ground-floor map first using Quick Mapping, followed by the other floors.

Issue:

- Cleaning on the first floor, where the dock is located, completes successfully.
- When I carry only the robot to the ground or second floor, it cleans the entire selected area.
- After cleaning, it announces "Returning to dock" and keeps searching for the docking station, even though the dock is on another floor.
- Eventually, the cleaning history shows "Cleaning Interrupted – Abnormal Docking."
- I always select the correct floor map before starting cleaning.

According to the app documentation, the robot should return to its original starting position after cleaning additional floors without a dock.

My questions:

1. Why is the robot searching for the dock instead of returning to its starting position?
2. Could this be happening because I created the ground-floor map first, while the dock is on the first floor?
3. Is there a setting to fix this, or do I need to recreate the maps in a specific order?

I want to keep the docking station permanently on the first floor and clean the other floors without moving it.

Please advise on how to resolve this issue.

Thank you.
